From an initial idea to your own online shop

The wind in my ears, the sun on my face, that indescribable feeling of freedom and joy gripped me on my very first gravel bike ride. I was actually just there to try it out because my boyfriend had bought a new bike. But a spontaneous "Why not give it a go?" quickly turned into something more: a passion that has stayed with me ever since. For several years now, I've been enthusiastically exploring the most beautiful cycling routes in Switzerland and beyond. Alongside my full-time job, I spend a large part of my free time on two wheels and cherish every encounter with the inspiring community of cycling-enthusiastic women.

On my rides and training sessions, it soon became clear to me: the right outfit is more than just a detail. Cycling apparel has to be functional, fit perfectly, and reflect personality. Yet, especially for women, the selection of high-quality and stylish cycling clothing is still surprisingly small. That's why I was so impressed by female manufacturers who offer bold, colorful designs as well as timelessly elegant pieces, all produced in Europe. The idea of showcasing this unique diversity and making it accessible to other women wouldn't let me go.

This is how the online shop Velorelle came about, together with my long-time friend. The name combines Velo, the bicycle, with the French word elle , which means "she". Velorelle is a tribute to strong, self-confident women who forge their own path – on and off the bike.

Together with Velorelle, we are delighted to bring select brands to Switzerland that uncompromisingly combine function and design. The expressive, colorful designs of former professional racer Iris Slappendel meet the timelessly elegant aesthetic of triathlete Amedea . Two brands, one vision: cycling apparel that empowers you and makes you look good on every ride.
